Yes, and this is the main practical reason brands work with a buying house rather than going direct to a factory. A knit factory cannot make your woven shirts, and neither can make your leather bags — so a mixed range placed factory-direct means running three or four separate supplier relationships, each with its own minimums, lead times and quality standard. We hold those relationships and put one merchandiser across the whole range, so you get a single critical path and a single point of accountability. The minimums still apply per style and colour at each factory; what you avoid is managing the seams between them.

Five hundred pieces per style and colour is the standard across most of our apparel range. Denim runs higher at 800 to 1,000 per style, because denim fabric mills hold larger minimums and the laundry adds its own economic floor on top. Socks are higher again at 1,000-plus pairs, because circular knitting machines are set up per style and colour and that setup only makes sense at volume. If you need to start smaller than 500, our sister company Collective Studio runs GOTS-certified organic knitwear from 100 pieces per style — a real production line built for short runs rather than an exception squeezed out of a volume factory.

Send the actual garment rather than photographs or measurements if you possibly can. Our technical team can take a reference apart on paper, reconstruct the pattern behind it, and rebuild it to your size chart — including details that are genuinely hard to specify in writing, like exactly where a taper begins or how much ease sits at the chest. Working from a flat measurement chart alone is possible but usually costs an extra fit round while we resolve what the numbers do not capture. Either way the corrected pattern becomes yours and carries forward to repeat orders without redevelopment.

Volume knitwear and woven apparel with a mature local material base — tees, polos, hoodies, shirts, trousers, denim and sweaters are where the country's fabric supply, skilled labour and price all line up. We would be less enthusiastic about steering you here for laminated or bonded technical outerwear, advanced performance membranes, structured tailoring at low volume, or anything needing four-week replenishment cycles; China and Vietnam remain stronger on those. Plenty of brands split sourcing for exactly this reason, and we would rather keep the part of your range we are actually best at than take all of it and disappoint you on a third of it.

Everything is made to order against your specification — we are a manufacturer and buying house, not a wholesaler, so there is no warehouse of blanks to pick from. That means lead times are real production lead times rather than shipping times: typically 10 to 16 weeks from an approved tech pack for most apparel, longer for denim and swimwear. In exchange you control the fabric, the fit, the colour, the trims and the labelling, none of which is true when buying stock and relabelling it. If you need goods in three weeks, you need a stockholder, and we will tell you that rather than take the order.
